About Coach Keifer

It's my mission to help people learn the fundamentals of keeping fit so they can feel great and live active, healthy lives. I pride myself in actively living what I coach and enjoy promoting health, fitness, and wellness to as many people as I can. Here's a short summary of where I'm from and who I am.

I grew up in the Midwest in a small town Reynoldsburg Ohio just east of Columbus.  My future career and professional journey began in high school. I participated in a sports trainers mentorship program at The Ohio State University. There I studied the on the field and off the field work that athletes, coaches and trainers go through in preparation, strength training, recovery, and rehabilitation for all sports. As part of the program I got to go behind the scenes of the biggest sports at The Ohio State University and also got to sit in and watch doctors perform an ACL reconstructive knee surgery on an injured athlete. I ironically had to have the same surgery performed on my right knee from a basketball injury six months later. My experience with the mentorship program was great. I would have rather continued sports and remained an athlete on the football field but the knee injury gave me a better understanding of what athletes and people have to go through to to stay mentally strong, to rehab, recover, strengthen and rebuild to get back to doing what they love and living an active life. I will always encourage people to be involved in activities that keep you moving, enjoying life, and having fun.

After high school I took some college classes and worked for a family business and eventually got a great job working for The Ohio State University where I worked as a systems specialist and technician for 8 years. During those years I continued to stay active and studied martial arts and sports training. I grew up playing baseball, football, track and eventually Thai boxing and jujitsu. I was very fortunate to learn and experience Muay Thai boxing from Master Lek (Ohio Muay Thai) and strength and conditioning from ex NFL pro and fitness coach David Key (Key Body and Fitness). As a Thai boxer I had six fights with a record of 5-1.

In 2004 I left Ohio State and moved to Las Vegas Nevada where I currently live with my beautiful wife and 2 beautiful kids. I have my own personal training/coaching business and continue to enjoy my career in fitness and health. As a licensed and certified personal trainer and coach I have 18 years experience coaching group fitness, corporate groups, bootcamps and fitness classes, kids boxing camps and private coaching. I've also volunteer my time in youth sports coaching baseball, football, volleyball, and basketball.

Today my business offers in-person and online coaching programs that hold you accountable to the necessary habits it takes to eat right, recover properly, keep moving, and stay strong so you can live your best life.

I've been very fortunate to have worked with some incredible people along the way. Some of the best athletes and minds in the world. To my family, coaches, friends, clients and colleagues you are truly the best. It's my passion to share what I've learned to help people live active and healthy lives. We all owe it to ourselves to eat healthy and keep moving and the reward for doing so is a better quality of life and a more balanced mind, body, and soul. Don't be lazy. Get off the sideline and get in the game. Each day is an opportunity to grow and get better and now is the time to put the work in and focus on your nutrition, exercise, and health. Take action toward improving your nutrition, energy, strength, and knowledge of what matters most in life and make it the best it can be!

Mission

My goal is to share with you tools and resources to help you live an active and healthy life, to feel your best, and have confidence with your fitness routine and dietary and supplement choices.

It's my vision to live in pursuit of an active lifestyle and for all of us to keep moving and feel our best. Technology today gives us an unlimited opportunity to learn and grow. It takes knowledge and effort as we age to adapt to our always changing bodies and the world we live in. These changes don't have to limit us or keep us from living happy and feeling great!
